The Historic Uptown Theatre in Napa
The historic Uptown Theatre, which is nestled in downtown Napa’s west end, is a fully restored art-deco theatre. It was originally built in 1937, and today houses one of the most beautiful and intimate live music and entertainment venues in Napa Valley. While the venue may seem big with its 860 seats, you’ll never be more than 98 feet from the performers on stage. Every seat truly is a great one.
The Uptown Theatre has been known to host some of the biggest names in music and comedy over the years, including acts like Willie Nelson, BB King, Lyle Lovett, Chris Isaak, Chris Cornell, The Indigo Girls, Jewel, Kathy Griffin, Clint Black, Brandi Carlile, Los Lobos, Tears for Fears, and many more.
There are some great upcoming performances scheduled for August, including the following:
- Boz Scaggs: Out of The Blues Tour
- Kris Kristofferson & The Strangers
- Jon Anderson
- Justin Hayward: All the Way and More
In September, join others at the Uptown Theatre for the following performances:
- An Evening with David Crosby & Friends, Sky Trail Tour 2019
- Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles
- Ron White
- Boz Scaggs: Out of the Blues Tour 2
- Adam Carolla is Unprepared
There’s so much more coming to the Uptown Theater this fall, including Get the Led Out 2019, Lewis Black, Switchfoot, Mat Kearney, and more. The Uptown Theatre also just released information for their shows later this winter, which include acts like the Robert Cray Band in November 2019, and the Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas Show, featuring Nicki Bluhm in December 2019. Their calendar is always packed and makes for a wonderful night out when you join us in Napa. Make it a date, and enjoy dinner before the show at one of downtown Napa’s finest restaurants. Great choices nearby the theatre include Ca’ Momi Osteria, Zuzu, Allegria, and Basalt. Following the show, there are a number of bars and wine tasting rooms open late for your enjoyment.
